Experiences

Fill your life with experiences, not things. Have stories to tell, not stuff to show!

Capture Africa, as its name suggests, is all about experiences. Memories of your African Safari are captured in a myriad of experiences.

We feel that the privacy offered on our trips is a big contributor to that magical experience! Not only are children of any age welcome, but guests get to truly relax whilst taking in Africa. There is no rush and a welcome holiday atmosphere is created.

Tented camps are an experience unto their own. With only a piece of canvas between you and the African night, dozing off to the sounds outside in the comfort of your bed…you feel safe. Not forgetting the creature comforts of home surrounding you too.

Besides the everyday activities of a safari, Capture Africa can arrange a variety of other activities to enhance your overall safari experience. A walking safari with your armed guide in Big 5 country is a wonderful way of getting closer to Mother Nature.

A gentle cruise on the waterways of the Okavango Delta is a must. The serenity of Africa hits home as you glide silently through the water in a dug-out canoe locally known as a Mokoro.

A truly amazing experience is a helicopter flight over Botswana’s wild places. Aerial views and photography are assisted by removing the doors of the helicopter and wildlife can be observed from above without disturbance. Fixed wing scenic flights can also be arranged.

Capture Africa’s open game-viewer vehicles are adequately equipped and cater to the safari enthusiasts every need. These 4-wheel drive vehicles are designed with the wildlife photographer in mind. Charging facilities for cameras, phones and other devices are available on board. The refrigerator is stocked with a variety of drinks and the picnic box serves snacks and coffee etc.

We design and tailor private safaris to suit each individual groups’ needs and desires. Look no further for the ultimate in mobile safari!!!

Vintage Family Safari

Africa is an eye-opening and educational playground for children. Our Family safaris are exclusively private and that allows children of all ages to join.

Kids on safari connect with ‘the real world’ and they learn loads about nature and wildlife. Their guides will become their new best friends. For the young, a hero, and the older kids quietly see their guide as ‘cool’. These days, with social media pressure, a safari in the Wi-Fi-free African bush provides digital detox for children (and parents) but it can also take them back to the real world with real lessons to be learnt.

We have perfected the family safari tent. Safety comes first. The tent boasts two large rooms with a corridor and bathroom connecting the two rooms. All under one roof. Entry into tent only via parents’ room. Comfortable beds and plush linen make it a cosy home for a family of 4-6.  Families with older kids can decide if they would like the kids to have their own tents or share the family tent. We can provide a child-minder as an extra luxury.

Family Safaris can be run as an “Out of Africa” style or “Hemingway” style safari.

Specialist Guide

Another very important aspect to any great trip is the guide. This is where Capture Africa takes great pride in the quality of guide we offer to our guest. Our highly qualified specialists add invaluable input to the overall safari experience. Our guides are qualified to carry a rifle, so walking in Big 5 country is available and some “Tales gone by” around the campfire make for unforgettable moments.

“Our guide Brian is the best tracker, kindest person, and all around best everything. At Khwai we had to chase away the elephants to get out of our tent. Saw 15 or so lions on the first day. Very few self drives about. Great food. Staff couldn’t be kinder. Savuti had a dead elephant with lots of lions. Lots of migrating zebras. Saw about 25 wild dogs near the gate. Lots of birds which I am now appreciating more, having seen most of the animals.” Kim Langley April 2021
