The soft buttered light envelopes the tree tops as the full moon rises over the African bush.
The fire crackles quietly, flickering warmth at those who sit around and stare into its hypnotic gaze.
A lion roars in the distance and the night sounds come alive!
This is what mobile safaris in one of Africa’s last known wildernesses is all about! You are instantly transported back in time… to when man was only a link in the food chain and not on top! A strange, yet familiar excitement courses through you as you place another log on the fire and inch a little closer!
A mobile safari in the wild is certainly the most “REAL” experience available to safari enthusiasts these days, and Botswana still caters to this unique market. And thankfully Capture Africa has modeled a mobile camp to see to your every need.
Many of you may be wondering… what is a mobile safari? Your camp is set up from nothing and when removed, leaves nothing to tell the tale of its existence. A separate truck goes ahead of your safari group together with a full complement of staff to set up the camp before your arrival. During your stay, your tent is serviced three times a day in addition to laundry being done daily. Waiters tend to you at meal times, serving you snacks, drinks and your main course, together with the chef. Hot water is boiled over a fire and delivered to your tent upon your request for showers, as well as that hot water bottle to vanquish that nip in the air.
Vehicles are prepared before each game drive with a tea, coffee, snack box and a full beverage fridge. During winter ponchos and hot water bottles accompany you on your game drives to keep that chill from your bones while you enjoy searching that next sighting.
Don’t waste another second! Join us on what will surely be a safari of a lifetime!!

With Botswana voted the best country to visit in 2016, we were thrilled to hear of what American Express magazine DEPARTURES had to say about Capture Africa: “A mobile safari in this game-rich area is 100 percent about the skill, experience and personality of your guide. And one of the great unsung heroes is Brian Gibson of the Botswana-based Capture Africa.” Click here to see more of what they had to say about Botswana and Capture Africa: Departures Magazine Article
